Kari Cheng – Vocal, Piano
Kari Cheng graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2008 with a bachelors in Music Production. She studied piano under Gerri Alexander, a distinguished pianist in the Bay Area, since 1996. She started singing in college, where she sang in the Kellogg Chamber Singers and Concert Choir, as well as music theatre, soul ensemble, and other various ensembles. While she was studying music, she was an intern for Guerilla Union, a hip hop production company, where she worked in live entertainment and marketing in the music industry. After she graduated, she helped establish MusicAlley, a small, independent music company in Chino Hills, where she taught beginning/intermediate piano and vocal private lessons. She moved back to the Bay Area in 2010, where she currently teaches piano and voice at C&L Music, and music at the after school program at Friends of Children with Special Needs.
